Production Operator
About the role
The position requires a 12-hour schedule, nightshift (6:00 pm to 6:00 am), with potential overtime. Initial training includes a 2-month shift from 8am-4pm, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Operate mobile equipment, weigh and charge raw materials to tanks
- Follow written and computerized work instructions
- Transfer products from vessels to storage tanks, drumming, cleaning tanks and associated piping
- Perform housekeeping items
- Conduct routine inspections and monitor equipment such as pumps, storage tanks, instrumentation, utilities, safety equipment, tools, etc.
- Prepare equipment for operation and maintenance
- Clean and troubleshoot equipment problems
- Apply working knowledge of process equipment mechanics and operations
- Utilize safety practices and techniques related to the chemical industry
- Control raw material, chemical and product flows & handling and transferring materials for bulk storage tanks, tote bins, drums, bags etc.
- Take product samples for quality control testing
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
Requirements
- High School diploma/GED
- 2 years of manufacturing, industrial or chemical experience
- Able to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and walk up and down ladders/stairs
- Experience with Microsoft Office products, SAP or other databases/computer boards
- Ability to work in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain and snow
- Willingness and ability to stay on site for breaks and lunches
Qualifications
- Must be available for initial training shift from 8am-4pm, Monday through Friday for 2 months
- Must be available for the 12-hour shift schedule, which includes weekends, rotating between 3 total nights/week working and 4 total nights/week off
- Must be willing to work additional hours and/or have experience with forklift operation

Pay
Initial pay is $26.00 per hour, paid biweekly for an initial probationary period. Once trained, qualified and signed off on training checklist, pay can increase to full contract rate of $33.96/hr.
Schedule
Typical shift schedule is a two-week rotation including weekends, with 3 total nights/week working and 4 total nights/week off, reversing the following week.
