Production Operations Manager, Amazon LEO

Key job responsibilities

Create a culture of safety and quality through active engagement and leadership of the technician workforce.

Establish great working relationships with design engineering, quality, EH&S, and supply chain teams.

Drive operational excellence with a combination of data analytics and Lean operations.

Use knowledge and experience in understanding, collaborating, and trading complex inputs from multiple other disciplines (Electrical, RF, Thermal, Dynamics, Mechanisms, Materials, Tooling, Assembly, and Test) to guide the manufacturing team.

Export Control Requirement

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
• 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
• 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
• 5+ years of leading cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and field execution through launch readiness and go-live phases experience
• Demonstrated ability to work beyond functional lines to influence stakeholders and drive quantifiable improvement in manufacturing performance

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
• Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
• Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
• Experience leading manufacturing of components and assemblies for Space applications
• Exceptional lean manufacturing and lean transformation experience
