About the role

As a Material Handler, you will load, unload, prepare, and move materials, stack finished product in the proper locations, and perform various functions in each area of material handling as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures, including GMP, SOP, HACCP, SSOP, and H&S.
  • Load and unload materials and product from trucks.
  • Rotate inventory and maintain accurate inventories and required inventory records.
  • Transport materials and product from storage or work sites to designated areas.
  • Maintain internal warehouse and external warehouse inventories and supplies.
  • Complete all shipping and receiving record keeping, tagging, and documentation.
  • Utilize and coordinate warehouse racking and space to maximum efficiency.
  • Read and comprehend production worksheets.
  • Keep work area neat, clean, and organized at all times.
  • Make productive use of down time.
  • Attend various mandatory safety and departmental meetings.
  • Rotate into all positions on the line.
  • Box and palletize boxes according to instructions, ensuring accurate counts and proper identification.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of the production and plant processes.
  • Ability to work scheduled hours and required overtime as needed.
  • Display traits of reliability, honesty, respect, attention to detail, and punctuality.
  • Basic analytical and numerical skills and the ability to perform mathematical calculations.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Safety Methods and Procedures.
  • Self-motivated, able to multi-task, and can work independently and as part of a team.
  • Committed to food safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Work Environment

The manufacturing environment includes noise, changing temperatures, standing/walking/bending/stooping/climbing stairs, and maneuvering around manufacturing equipment. Physical lifting up to 40-lbs unassisted is frequently required throughout the shift. The role also involves working with chemicals, wearing personal protective equipment, and following approved chemical handling procedures.

Pay

$27.83 + shift differential.
