Production Maintenance Technician - 12hrs

About the role

Provides maintenance support for the plant, ensuring safe and reliable equipment operation through troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment including replacing motors, relays, and switches on varied machinery up to and including three phases 480-volt energy.
• Performs preventive maintenance and maintains records to ensure safe, reliable equipment.
• Serves as point person for production personnel in regard to preventative maintenance and problem equipment troubleshooting.
• Diagnoses and repairs forklifts, pumps, hydraulics, and other related equipment.
• Maintains and refills parts inventory.
• Provides prompt response to and resolution of unplanned equipment failures resulting in production downtime.
• Effectively communicates with machine operators and supervisors regarding equipment issues, safety concerns, and infractions.
• Properly utilizes Personal Protective Equipment.
• Troubleshoots and resolves issues as requested by supervisor.

Requirements

• 5+ years in Industrial Maintenance required.
• Extensive knowledge troubleshooting and resolving issues related to electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, circuitry, PLC, AC/DC drives, and welding fabrication.
• Intermediate math and computer skills, and English written communication skills necessary.
• Demonstrates proper usage of personal protective equipment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 70 lbs., and work in hot environments on a constant basis.
• Ability to meet objectives and deadlines with minimum supervision.
