Production Machinist & Assembler

Overview

Waters Corporation is currently seeking a Production Machinist/Assembler to join their Global Machining Operations team. This position will work in a large, skilled team within a world-class 50,000 square-foot Machining/Manufacturing facility equipped with over 90 advanced CNC machines and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Learn correct processes involved with the manufacture of precision assemblies, including lapping, leak testing, assembly, and inspection.
• Inspect own and other associates' parts using visual and hand inspection equipment.
• Perform complex assembly of a variety of precision sub-assemblies.
• Train additional personnel on assembly techniques and processes.
• Interact with a diverse range of personnel in a manufacturing environment, including shift changes.

Requirements

• Background in Production Machining and Mechanical Assembly.
• Experience with precision component assembly, including mechanical tubing assemblies, miniature assemblies, and various other precision mechanical assemblies.
• Ability to make sound decisions when faced with issues.
• Excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Vocational trades school, high school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Skills

• Read complex engineering drawings.
• Perform shop math.
• Keep accurate records.
• Personal computer skills required.
