Seeking Machinist Assemblers to support design, fabrication, and assembly of aircraft components using precision machines such as lathes, grinders, CNC, and EDM.
Responsibilities
- Perform bench work, assembling parts with rivets and bolts
- Interpret drawings and blueprints
- Set up and operate machine tools
- Program CNC machines
- Fabricate fixtures
- Ensure quality standards through inspection
- Troubleshoot machining and assembly issues
- Handle hazardous materials safely
- Maintain tool certifications
- Use computer applications like MS Office
- Perform precision machining, assembly, and inspection of aircraft parts
- Set up, operate, and adjust machine tools and CNC programs
- Fabricate shop aids and fixtures as needed
- Ensure safety and quality standards are met during operations
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot issues
Requirements
- Minimum 1+ year experience with CAD/CAM applications and programming/setup of CNC machinery
- Ability to read G and M codes
- Experience with machine setup, operation, and measurement tools
- Strong interpretation of technical drawings and blueprints
- Knowledge of shop math, geometry, and troubleshooting machining issues
- Proficiency in computer use and safety procedures
- Willingness to work variable shifts onsite
- Must meet export control requirements
Qualifications
- Preferred: Machinist training or apprenticeship
- Preferred: Experience with ENOVIA
- Preferred: Journeyman certification
