Machinist Assembler

Seeking Machinist Assemblers to support design, fabrication, and assembly of aircraft components using precision machines such as lathes, grinders, CNC, and EDM.

Responsibilities

• Perform bench work, assembling parts with rivets and bolts
• Interpret drawings and blueprints
• Set up and operate machine tools
• Program CNC machines
• Fabricate fixtures
• Ensure quality standards through inspection
• Troubleshoot machining and assembly issues
• Handle hazardous materials safely
• Maintain tool certifications
• Use computer applications like MS Office
• Perform precision machining, assembly, and inspection of aircraft parts
• Set up, operate, and adjust machine tools and CNC programs
• Fabricate shop aids and fixtures as needed
• Ensure safety and quality standards are met during operations
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot issues

Requirements

• Minimum 1+ year experience with CAD/CAM applications and programming/setup of CNC machinery
• Ability to read G and M codes
• Experience with machine setup, operation, and measurement tools
• Strong interpretation of technical drawings and blueprints
• Knowledge of shop math, geometry, and troubleshooting machining issues
• Proficiency in computer use and safety procedures
• Willingness to work variable shifts onsite
• Must meet export control requirements

Qualifications

• Preferred: Machinist training or apprenticeship
• Preferred: Experience with ENOVIA
• Preferred: Journeyman certification
