Production Line Operator -3rd Shift ($20-$26.02)

About the role

This position is designed for employees ready to advance from an entry-level role on the manufacturing floor. Qualified candidates must be flexible to perform a variety of tasks, work any shift, overtime, and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• General housekeeping, clean-up, sweeping, vacuuming, painting, and lubrication (oiling, greasing, etc.)
• Sample retrieval and power washing
• Lifting and hauling items up and down stairs, dumping rework
• Operating a motorized forklift and other miscellaneous duties as assigned
• Keeping lines stocked with packaging materials
• Filling out appropriate paperwork related to lines CCP’s, production, and packaging materials
• Basic troubleshooting and repair of packaging equipment
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment on the line
• Communicating with supervisor when line is down due to equipment or oil supply issues
• Reporting and resolving observed quality issues while operating the line
• Proper start-up, running, and shut-down of the line
• Basic Ammonia Operation
• Understanding and tracing process flow from source tank to filling process
• Performing basic tasks within the M3 inventory system
• Basic Votator/Perfector operation
• Basic understanding of pumps, valves, filters, and heat exchangers

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required and verified)
• Previous relevant experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

• Active participation in efficiency and safety improvement teams
• Ability to learn and follow written rules and procedures
• Produce accurate documentation
• Maintain acceptable attendance
• Willingness and ability to learn various positions and fill in for temporary/permanent vacancies
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Climb stairs, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods
• Work in confined spaces and at heights
