Production Line Operator - 3pm-11:30pm ($20-$26.02)

About the role

Stratas Foods is a 50/50 joint venture headquartered in Cordova, TN, formed in October 2008. It provides value-added, branded, and custom-formulated fats and oils solutions to the Food Service, Food Ingredient, and Retail sectors.

Responsibilities

• General housekeeping, clean up, sweeping, vacuuming, painting, lubrication (oiling, greasing, etc.)
• Sample retrieval
• Power washing
• Lifting and hauling items up and down stairs
• Dump rework
• Operate a motorized fork lift and other miscellaneous duties as assigned
• Keep lines stocked with packaging materials
• Fill out appropriate paperwork related to CCPs, production, and packaging materials
• Basic troubleshooting and repair of packaging equipment
• Communicate with supervisor when line is down due to equipment/oil supply issues
• Communicate with supervisor when equipment needs attention
• Report/resolve any observed quality issues while operating line
• Proper start up, running, and shut down of line
• Basic Ammonia Operation
• Knowledge of process flow and ability to trace flow from source tank to filling process
• Basic Votator/Perfector operation
• Basic understanding of pumps, valves, filters, and heat exchangers

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent - REQUIRED & VERIFIED
• Previous relevant experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Basic computer knowledge - data entry
• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, bend, kneel, stand for extended periods, work in confined spaces, and work at heights

Education

A High School Diploma or equivalent is REQUIRED & VERIFIED. Previous relevant experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
