Production Line Lead- Helios _2nd Shift M-Th (3:30pm-2:00am)

PURPOSE OF POSITION

The production line lead will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the daily production activities of a production line. This key position with the production team will ensure that production goals and objectives are met in a timely and efficient manner, while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

• Cook up the daily production activities of assigned staff.
• Load rolls of chipboard on machine ensuring continuous supply of material.
• Keep accurate records of hourly production numbers and scrap.
• Inspect filters and filter packaging at various stages of production, making corrections as necessary.
• Aid in providing raw materials to the production line to ensure efficient and timely manufacturing.
• Set up line for the filter manufacturing.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management to support production goals.

DECISIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the supervisor in monitoring employee performance to ensure product quality aligns with company specifications.
• Ensure that all employees follow safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
• Responsible for production and packaging of products, ensuring they meet quality standards.
• Conduct regular checks on production processes and report any discrepancies to supervisor.
• Collaborate and lead team members to foster a positive and productive environment.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior work experience and supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must be able to use a tape measure accurately.
• Must be able to operate a computer.
• Must be able to utilize BPCS to order material and return stock.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS

• May be required to lift up to approximately 40 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Safety glasses are required at all times to protect against dust and particles.
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes and dust particles.
• Must be able to withstand both hot and cold atmosphere depending on weather conditions.
• Must be able to travel throughout the facility to obtain information needed to perform job functions.
