Responsibilities

  • Produce the largest amount of quality product possible while complying with all production and safety guidelines.
  • Operate and maintain cup line equipment, including washouts, CIPs, product changeovers, and package changeovers.
  • Oversee a team and work closely with the Packaging Team Lead.
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve quality issues.
  • Lead courageously under the directive of the Team Leader.
  • Maintain quality standards.
  • Assist team members in adhering to General Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety rules, and plant rules.
  • Oversee the process of receiving product from the processing department, packaging it, and sending it to the Warehouse as quality, shippable, finished product.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate standards for food safety, food safety culture, quality, and facility cleanliness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Food Safety Responsibilities

  • Produce product free of contamination.
  • Follow all Ken’s Foods SQF, Security, and GMP policies.
  • Report any suspicious activities in or around the plant.
  • Continuously inspect the work area for potential product contamination issues.

Skills

Language Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of Team Members.

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
