Production Hourly 3rd Shift

About the role

Process product using tools (including knives), manual labor, and equipment in accordance with USDA and Pilgrim’s Company product standards and procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work area while observing all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Process product according to operating procedures and quality/quantity expectations.
• Observe equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and/or safety issues/concerns.
• Assist others with skills and knowledge gained from the position.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating effectively with customers, clients, co-workers, and leadership teams.
• Recognize and act on incidents and safety risks; consistently practice and enforce safe work habits.
• Participate in process improvement and problem-solving using continuous improvement methodologies.
• Follow all company animal welfare guidelines.
• Perform other duties as directed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
• Ability to comprehend simple instructions and apply common sense.
• Ability to work in cool temperatures (around 40 degrees).
• Ability to stand and use hands for 8-11 hours per day.
• Ability to multitask and work quickly.
• Must be a team player and willing to work closely with other employees (less than 3 feet apart).
• Good communication skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Food or production experience preferred.

Pay

• 1st Shift: $18.25/hour (Level 1), $18.45/hour (Level 2)
• 3rd Shift: $19.75/hour (Level 1), $19.95/hour (Level 2)
• $1.50 shift differential for 3rd shift
