About the role
Several 1st and 2nd shift positions available. Experience is preferred, but we will train the right person.
Responsibilities
- Follow all applicable safety and housekeeping guidelines.
- Oversee departmental safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
- Read and follow all Standard Operating Procedures and work orders.
- Review daily production using computer manufacturing software and assign associate work.
- Maintain accurate serial number logs as required.
- Use computer manufacturing software to report daily production, retrieve Bill of Material (BOM), and check inventory levels.
- Coordinate with engineering and quality on pilot runs, BOM audits, pilot completion paperwork, and training records.
- Communicate discrepancies or questions to Engineering.
- Participate in routine departmental meetings as needed.
- Perform monthly cycle counts and inventory as needed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Physical Demands
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Quality Requirements
- Read, understand, and complete training on all related standard operating procedures and work instructions to meet customer and QMS requirements.
- Reference related SOPs and work instructions for specific quality expectations.
- Qualify to use measurement devices such as rulers, calipers, or tape measures to verify product acceptance and machine operation.
- Conduct constant visual inspection of materials and products to ensure acceptance.
- Set aside non-conforming materials or products for disposition by appropriate personnel (supervisor, quality representative).
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent and/or previous manufacturing experience preferred.
- Maintain a neat and clean work area.
- Active participation in FXI’s Safety Program.
- Follow Safe Work Practices, including wearing safety glasses or goggles, hazard communications, forklift certification, and gloves.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Apply common sense to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Some experience operating machinery is preferred.
