About the Role
This role is primarily responsible for working in the laser department unloading, inspecting, sorting parts.
Responsibilities
- Helping to load/unload parts
- Packaging all of the parts (baskets, skids, etc.)
- Other duties assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to lift up-to 50 pounds, bend, twist and transport product and materials short distances
- Basic understanding of computers and ability to perform computer functions as they pertain to the job
- Ability to work collaboratively and productively in a team-environment
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
- Ability to work safely and without injury with hand tools in an environment with metal and sharp objects
- Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change
- Work in an efficient and timely manner
- Demonstrated detail orientation, self-motivation skills and ability to multi-task
- Strong basic math skills
- Take any quality concern seriously and execute right away
- Exposure to a Lean manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements
- Moderate to heavy physical effort required; frequently required to bend and stoop
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Lift/Carry up to 50 lbs regularly
- Push/Pull up to 50 lbs regularly
- Reach overhead frequently
- Stand regularly (5-8 hrs/shift)
- Walk/Move about regularly (5-8 hrs/shift)
- Bend/Kneel frequently (2-5 hrs/shift)
- Climb occasionally (1-2 hrs/shift)
- Sit occasionally (1-2 hrs/shift)
