Production Group Lead

About the Role

Oversee a variety of complex operations and duties in a production area. May assist in the transition of new products into manufacturing. Monitor equipment performance and make minor adjustments such as set-ups, calibrations, and alignments. Clear minor machine difficulties and perform maintenance and repair as trained by a technician, engineer, or supervisor. Assist operators by answering questions and demonstrating operations. Spot checks product to ensure quality levels are maintained.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate, and schedule the manufacturing process in the area.
• Monitor and control production goals and efficiencies.
• Work closely with Management and the Scheduling Department.
• Maintain exceptional quality standards.
• Guide and manage the team toward shared department goals.
• Foster positive communication and resolve conflicts.
• Provide motivation and support to staff.
• Train and direct employees.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• 0-2 years of related experience preferred.
• Previous leadership skills preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.
• Must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident (ITAR facility requirement).

Skills

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand, sit, bend, and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work overtime as required.
