Key Responsibilities
- Cooking up daily production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets.
- Acting as the go-to person on the manufacturing floor for shift execution and escalation support.
- Providing real-time direction and decision-making to operators and technicians to maintain workflow continuity.
- Monitoring Work-In-Process (WIP), tool status, and staffing to ensure optimal line balance and throughput.
- Fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Hands-On Manufacturing Support
- Performing fabrication processes (lithography, etch, metals, diffusion, implant, grind/polish, test, etc.) as needed to support production.
- Sets up, operates, and monitors specialized semiconductor equipment to ensure product quality and process compliance.
- Step in during staffing gaps, high-volume periods, or critical operations to maintain output.
Team Leadership & Development
- Serving as a coach for technicians and operators on shift.
- Training and mentoring team members on processes, equipment, and best practices.
- Reinforcing adherence to standard work, safety procedures, and cleanroom protocols.
- Working with the Shift Supervisor to coordinate work-in-process (WIP) flow, ensuring efficient movement of materials to maximize throughput and operational output.
Operational Execution & Continuous Improvement
- Driving execution of daily priorities aligned with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory.
- Identifying and resolving operational issues, escalating complex challenges as needed.
- Contributing to process improvements, efficiency gains, and waste reduction initiatives.
- Maintaining accurate documentation, data entry, and reporting of production metrics.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensuring compliance with Quality Management Systems and all regulatory requirements.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and handling of chemicals.
