Production Floater - QA/Wire Weigher

About the role

We are seeking a Production Floater to join our team at our Merit Steel location in Kouts, Indiana.

Responsibilities

• Perform various quality tests on in process and finished wire and input results into computer system.
• Input information for bar coded tags and print tags as needed.
• Weigh drawn wire from wire drawing line and tag with appropriate tag.
• Stack wire in the warehouse.
• Keep weight tag printer filled with labels.
• Inspect fork truck and fill out inspection sheet.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Practice good safety techniques.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.

Benefits

Work 36 hours and receive 40 hours of pay. This weekend shift will be available for 9 to 12 months. After that period, employees will transition to a Monday through Friday shift.
