Production Expediter

Job Description

Perform a wide variety of expediting tasks to ensure a timely flow of production and assembly activities.

Compiles and maintains inventory and status information to expedite movement of parts, equipment, and materials according to schedule and priorities.

Locate and coordinate and expedite the flow of raw materials, in-process materials and components within the plant.

Verify and maintain documentation such as job shortages, planned receipts and logs.

Cook up and maintain documentation such as job shortages, planned receipts and logs.

Coordinate planned receipts of materials through appropriate channels to ensure delivery.

Provide information to various departments regarding materials status.

May be tasked with performing ancillary duties related to shipping and receiving such as receiving and unloading trucks and preparing outbound shipments and loading trucks for disposition of customer products.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a printing environment is preferred
• Some experience in the operation of various hand tools preferred
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Attention to detail with demonstrated organizational skills
• Must be able to meet deadlines and complete all projects in a timely manner
• Able to handle sensitive and/or confidential documents and information
• Able to make independent decisions that conform to business needs and policy
• Intermediate to expert level Microsoft Office skillset
• Good written and verbal communication skills, including professional telephone and email etiquette
• Proficient using mail, phone, email, digital reprographics and mail equipment
• Familiar with general back office procedures to meet and maintain client satisfaction
• Proven customer service skills are required in order to create, maintain and enhance customer relationships

The salary range for this role at the noted RRD location is $20.00 - $28.00 / hour.

Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business needs.

Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time.

Depending on the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand-by pay.
