About the role

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Specialist (Level B or Level C) to support our Production Equipment Maintenance Team in North Charleston, South Carolina on variable shifts, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Performs maintenance on factory equipment.
  • Troubleshoots, analyzes, inspects, disassembles, rebuilds, modifies and tests factory machinery and equipment as necessary using knowledge in areas such as mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Uses and interprets advanced blueprints and schematics to maintain and repair equipment.
  • Responds to requests for equipment repair.
  • Maintains and manages component and replacement part inventories.
  • Works under limited supervision.

Requirements

  • Must be willing and able to work a variable shift.
  • 1+ years of experience in equipment maintenance.
  • 1+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design).
  • 1+ years of experience working with Digital Volt Meters (DVM), Oscilloscopes, AC/DC Power supplies, Frequency Generators, and/or Power Meters.
  • 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level C: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • 3+ years of experience in equipment maintenance.
  • 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design).
  • 3+ years of experience working with Digital Volt Meters (DVM), Oscilloscopes, AC/DC Power supplies, Frequency Generators, and/or Power Meters.
  • 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet these requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Pay

  • Level B: $59,000 - $65,000
  • Level C: $61,200 - $68,000

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Schedule

This position is for variable shifts, including nights and weekends.
