About the Role

As a member of the Global Materials Operations Equipment team, you will perform equipment startup, modifications, upgrades, troubleshooting, and maintenance on production and R&D systems. This role involves direct interaction with process engineering and other groups to meet department and Wolfspeed goals. Successful candidates will have a strong team mentality, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safe working practices. The role includes a diverse mix of activities with a strong emphasis on hands-on mechanical assembly, high vacuum systems, and light electrical work.

Both day and night shift opportunities are available.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize troubleshooting skills to solve complex equipment mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic problems.
  • Perform preventative and routine equipment maintenance tasks (e.g., cleaning, calibration, or routine service).
  • Use computerized maintenance management systems for inventory control and work scheduling.
  • Handle gases and chemicals to replenish system resources.
  • Provide communication to all support team members by following proper escalation procedures.
  • Perform additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or military equivalent.
  • Manufacturing experience, preferably within the semiconductor industry.
  • Good manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player mentality with flexibility in work schedule and ability to work overtime on short notice.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs to chest height, push and pull 50 lbs, and stand for 8 or more hours per shift.
  • Ability to periodically kneel, bend, climb ladders, and stairs.
  • At least 2 years of CMP experience on the Applied Materials Mirra platform.
  • Lawful ability to access technical data, information, and areas controlled by United States export control laws and regulations.

Schedule

This role requires working 12-hour shifts, including the ability to work overtime on short notice. Both day and night shifts are available.
