Production Coordinator – Kids Apparel

About the role

A growing apparel organization is seeking an organized, proactive Production Coordinator to support the development and production of children’s apparel collections.

Key Responsibilities

• Cooky samples across the development and production lifecycle, including requests, submissions, approvals, revisions, and deliveries.
• Maintain accurate work-in-progress reports, seasonal calendars, sample logs, and production tracking tools.
• Partner with design, merchandising, technical design, sourcing, vendors, and factories to monitor product status and resolve open items.
• Follow up with factories regarding sample timing, production milestones, approvals, and delivery commitments.
• Identify risks related to sample quality, production capacity, timelines, materials, or approvals and escalate issues as needed.
• Ensure product details, specifications, color information, and sample records are complete, current, and well organized.
• Support preparation for fittings, line reviews, vendor meetings, and seasonal production milestones.
• Provide clear, timely status updates to internal stakeholders and maintain organized production files.

Qualifications

• Approximately two years of production coordination experience in apparel, fashion, textiles, or a related consumer-products category.
• Hands-on experience with sample management, factory communication, work-in-progress reporting, and production tracking.
• Strong understanding of apparel product development and production timelines.
• Exceptional organization, follow-through, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple categories, deadlines, and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across internal teams and external partners.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with production tracking tools.
• Experience in children’s apparel, sweaters, sleepwear, swimwear, or related categories is preferred.
