About the role
This position oversees and manages various aspects of the production process, ensuring efficient workflow and meeting company goals.
Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
- Releasing and coordinating travelers’ documents to ensure on-time start.
- Aid in monitoring, modifying, and releasing work orders.
- Develop an integrated schedule for all operations using an ERP system.
- Distribute raw materials to appropriate shop departments and control inventory.
- Coordinate movement of parts throughout the shop to ensure on-time start.
- Facilitate communication between different departments.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Cook with supply chain, production, and others involved with incoming products.
- Provide additional backup support for receiving/shipping and purchasing.
- Follow 6S procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to details.
- Organizational skills.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- Time management skills.
- Ability to multi-task and pivot from one task to another.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to read and interrupt work instructions to follow through and complete tasks.
- Ability to become Forklift certified.
- Ability to work ½ day Saturdays 2-3 times per month.
Qualifications
- Must have the ability to read applicable customer documents with or without corrective lenses.
- Must be able to lift up to thirty (30) pounds at a time, as required.
- Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, and/or sit for long periods of time.
