Production Coordinator

About the role

K. Hovnanian is celebrating over 65 years of quality and leadership in the home building and community development industry. As a Production Coordinator, you will ensure the timely delivery of architectural and site engineering plans, permits, and approvals to meet the Division's CSD goals. You will work with sales, construction, and the Architectural Production Manager to facilitate lot-specific requests with Corporate Product Development, ensuring the sales team completes customer selections promptly to expedite the permitting process.

You will play a key role in building dream homes—spaces where families create lasting memories, raise children, and celebrate life’s milestones.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with municipalities to pay fees and obtain permits for all starts.
• Obtain, enter, and track preconstruction milestone dates to ensure tasks are completed within the template duration.
• Manage foundation start dates in the system and release all homes to Buildpro.
• Track all permitting activities and other municipal-related tasks.
• Obtain site plans for permit submission and review for accuracy.
• Upload all necessary information into Buildpro for use by field staff and trade partners.
• Check decorator’s selections and custom change orders against blueprints.
• Interface with municipal officials to maintain professional relationships, ensuring successful receipt of permits, fees, and township documentation.
• Manage the pre-construction process to ensure home start “evenness.”
• Provide agendas and chair all meetings pertinent to the pre-construction process of home sites.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is preferred.
• Must be an analytical problem solver with the ability to multi-task.
• Strong communication skills to interact with customers, associates, and subcontractors.
