This position is located at a Depot Level repair facility performing maintenance on various aircraft, including AV-8, C-130, C-2, E-2, EA-6B, F/A-18, H-1, H-53, H-60, MQ-8, P-3, P-8, F-35, and V-22. Military aviation platform experience is a plus. The role is situated on a federal facility and requires a government-issued clearance.
Responsibilities
- Use computer systems to ensure all repair parts are accurately ordered, received, and issued.
- Provide warehousing, inventory management, and transportation support.
- Order, receive, and issue parts and general supplies using current operating computer systems (e.g., CONOPS, MTO) to account for all government supplies and inventory records.
- Utilize knowledge of material processes and kitting procedures coupled with assembly operations in production shops.
- Request guidance from higher-level production controllers or supervisors for deviations from processes or unusual situations.
- Push pick lists via CONOPs for ordering material and manage sub-routes and line closures.
- Use BOE to pull up Shortage Reports and Dispatch Reports for respective shops.
- Complete SDRs for material credit.
- Execute shipping documents (1149), MRB/Surveys (Material Review Board), and CODE G items.
- Ensure accuracy of all material in Delay codes.
- Be proficient with the Universal Call Board and its support functions for production shops.
- Use ASRS (Automated Storage Retrieval System) for kitting areas where deployed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum two (2) years of relevant work experience.
- Preferred knowledge of the interdependency of each FRCSW building and the workload it supports.
- Proficiency in explaining various production reports and associated criteria.
- Ability to obtain a forklift license.
- Strong computer skills and sensitivity to confidential matters.
- Preferred knowledge of aviation technical material.
- Preferred experience from military installations or civilian heavy structure background.
- Preferred military installation-level maintenance experience.
- Must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Secret Clearance.
Functional Requirements
- Ability to walk, stand, crawl, kneel, and bend on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods.
- Ability to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
- Ability to crouch, crawl, grasp, pull, push, reach, or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee, and reach above/below shoulders.
- May be required to lift up to 44 pounds and carry heavy or moderate loads up to 44 pounds.
- Ability to see aircraft in flight, read dials/gauges, identify small objects, and use hand tools.
- Ability to see imperfections, micrometer readings, and other small scales with or without corrective lenses.
- Ability to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
- Ability to distinguish color, shades of color, and judge three-dimensional depth.
- May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklift, APU, crane, truck, or tractor.
Environmental Factors
- Work in an inside/outside environment around machinery, objects, vehicles, ladders, and scaffolds.
- Exposure to excessive noise and vibration, which can be intermittent or constant.
- Environmental conditions may include dust, silica, asbestos, fumes, smoke, gas, solvents (e.g., degreasing agents), grease, oils, and electrical energy.
- Work on slippery or uneven surfaces.
- Work closely with others or alone.
- Possible protracted or irregular hours of work as needed.
