About the role

Production Controller Materials is a key part of our business. Reporting to the Department Supervisor, a Production Controller is responsible for establishing, reviewing and maintaining the production schedule in alignment with the Production Plan. This role operates on the 2nd shift in Indianapolis, IN.

Responsibilities

• Establishes daily production manufacturing priorities for customer demands consistent with master scheduling requirements, inventory objectives, and service level goals.
• Implements production tools for building to actual customer demands, Kanbans, prioritizing builds, expediting and automating transactions per Lean concepts.
• Executes prioritization changes due to customer requirement or shortage resolution.
• Works with Customer Care processing customer order requests.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Knowledge of plant receiving and materials movement processes.

Ideal candidates will also have the ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate root cause analysis. Training and support will be provided for these skills if needed.
