About the role

The Production Associate is responsible for the fabrication and production of component parts for the final assembly of windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This role involves tasks performed in a variety of departments.

Schedule

  • Training period: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (up to 6 weeks)
  • Shift 1st: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday
  • Shift 3rd: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM, Monday - Friday ($1.50 per hour shift differential)

Pay

Base pay rate: $16.00 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units
  • Support window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading materials or windows
  • Perform workstation functions using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
  • Understand and carry out verbal instructions
  • Read and carry out simple written instructions
  • Read work orders, labels, and schedules
  • Use a tape measure, inspect, examine, and observe for product defects (candidates will be asked to read measurements during the interview)
  • Make fraction and decimal conversions
  • Operate equipment needed to perform job functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Provide on-the-job training to new employees

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
  • Ability to carry out written or verbal instructions
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist

Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing (preferred)
  • Experience reading a tape measure (preferred)
