Production Associate Day Shift

Cornerstone Building Brands is a leading manufacturer of exterior building products for residential and low-rise non-residential buildings in North America. Headquartered in Cary, N.C., we serve residential and commercial customers across the new construction and Repair & Remodel (R&R) markets.

About the role

The Production Associate is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This role performs tasks across a variety of departments.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units
• Support window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows
• Perform workstation functions using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions
• Read and carry out simple written instructions
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules
• Use a tape measure, inspect, examine, and observe for product defects
• Make fraction and decimal conversions
• Operate equipment needed to perform job functions
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be authorized to work in the US
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
• Ability to carry out written or verbal instructions
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist

Qualifications

• Preferably with experience in manufacturing
• Preferably with experience reading a tape measure

Pay

Base pay rate: $16.00 per hour plus $1.50 per hour shift differential for 3rd shift.

Schedule

• 1st shift: 6:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday - Friday
• 3rd shift: 6:00 pm to 6:00 am Monday - Friday

Full-time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week. Union programs may vary depending on the collective bargaining agreement.
