Production Associate - CHEM DRI

About the Role

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of machinery to ensure all materials are weighed properly and mixed according to specifications. Monitor the mixing of stock through various visual and control checks.

Responsibilities

• Operate all guillotine controls.
• Cut material to specified sizes/weights and identify groups as outlined on mixing instructions.
• Check metal detector at the beginning of each shift and after the lunch period.
• Visually check all material while cutting and stacking for any contamination.
• Neatly stack cut material appropriately using poly between layers to prevent sticking.
• Stack waste skids according to size and stack cardboard neatly to go to the cardboard baler.
• Ensure all containers are cleaned before using and remove all old tickets and markings.
• Assist in timely and thorough cleanup during changeovers and shutdowns.
• Keep area and machinery clean.
• Inform Maintenance of any issues or concerns with equipment.
• Notify Team Leader of any problems or concerns.
• Follow personal protective equipment (PPE) procedures.
• Safeguard company property.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
• Uphold the RMA Code of Conduct standards and be aware of management policy and objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Team Leader/Supervisor.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• One or more years’ experience in production is desired.
• Forklift license preferred.

Work Environment

• Must be comfortable working in a shared space with constant noise, with or without the use of a private office.
• Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.
• All injuries, regardless of severity, must be reported to your Supervisor/HR immediately.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to stand and walk.
• Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to sit, talk, read, hear, and/or smell.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Periodically required to climb a ladder.
• Frequently required to go up and down stairs.
