Production Associate

About the role

At Valley, every cake, cake square, and sweet treat produced represents the company’s commitment to quality. This position offers a stable, full-time schedule with three-day weekends.

Responsibilities

• Aid in the production of sweet goods from start to finish, ensuring efficient operations and consistent quality.
• Rotate through mixing, cutting, icing, decorating, touch-up, inspection, and packaging processes.
• Replenish supplies and maintain materials to prevent workflow disruptions.
• Inspect finished products to verify temperature, consistency, appearance, and packaging standards.
• Complete required food safety logs and documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain a clean and organized production environment to support food safety and operational efficiency.
• Follow all company policies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Promote a culture of safety by maintaining awareness and preventing workplace incidents.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support production needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math and reading comprehension skills to follow recipes, specifications, and production instructions.
• Effective communication with supervisors and team members.
• Efficient performance in a fast-paced production environment.
• Dependable, attentive to detail, and committed to quality and safety.
• Prior food production or manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Constant standing and twisting during scheduled shifts.
• Frequent climbing of up to three flights of stairs multiple times per shift.
• Frequent walking throughout the production area.
• Rare lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Indoor production environment with moderate warehouse noise levels.
• Compliance with food safety, PPE, and GMP requirements at all times.

Schedule

Monday through Thursday, 5:00AM – 3:30PM (two 15-minute paid breaks plus 30-minute unpaid lunch)
