Production Associate

About the role

The Production Associate position at International Paper involves counting and stacking finished products, accurately reading gauges and other testing equipment, utilizing basic shop math, performing product inspections, completing quality and administrative documentation, and performing general housekeeping duties.

Responsibilities

• Counting and stacking finished product
• Accurately reading gauges and other testing equipment
• Utilizing basic shop math and performing product inspections
• Accurately completing quality and administrative documentation while following work instructions
• Performing general housekeeping and clean up duties including blowing down machines, wiping off shafts, cleaning ink systems, vacuuming and sweeping machine areas, and collecting and shredding scrap material
• Working overtime, including Saturdays, as business conditions require

Requirements

• Ability and desire to work safely and follow all safety procedures, including the use of required personal protective equipment
• Ability to add and subtract units of measure and accurately read, copy, count, and record figures
• Ability to stand, walk, twist, bend, and reach at or below shoulder level throughout the shift
• Ability to perform repetitive lifting and physical job duties in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to follow directions and standard operating procedures
• Dependable attendance

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
