Responsibilities

• Serve as the face of the agency, supporting the mission of providing services to the community.
• Prioritize customer service at all times, whether serving shoppers or donors.
• Greet every person who approaches with a warm smile, no matter how busy you are.
• Ensure all customers are made aware of the Elizabeth Clark Fund and ask them to participate, as well as sign up or use their Goodwill Club membership.
• As a cashier, assist with purchases and operate the cash register and point of sale system accurately and efficiently.
• Complete reports with attention to detail, such as donation counts, readings, daily business statements, deposits, and cash drawer balances.
• Answer the phone with friendliness and commitment to customer service, listening carefully.
• Select and price donated goods and textiles, ensuring Goodwill quality control standards are met.
• Keep all areas neat and clean.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a cash register, including basic math, computer, and typing skills.
• Ability to operate a cash register and count back change.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Customer service skills.
• Friendly with excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable and trustworthy.
• Ability to work independently while fostering a strong team atmosphere and promoting the agency in a positive manner.

Schedule

This position requires a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
