About the role
The goal of the Production Associate is to optimize employee and equipment effectiveness and efficiency, and to reduce waste and meet company objectives. Works under direct guidance of Team Lead.
Responsibilities
- Understands and complies with company food safety program and regulatory requirements to ensure the safe production of food.
- Complies with company safety/environmental program and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrates company values and vivid vision.
- Complete all tasks with honesty and integrity.
- Participates in preventing errors occurring in production.
- Maintains a clean, organized and audit ready work station at all times.
- Ensures that production and food safety documents are accurate and completed.
- Completes timely changeovers between production runs.
- Consistently meets performance expectations.
- Performs other projects/tasks/assignments as assigned
Required Skills and Abilities
- Proficient in palletizing on all production lines.
- Proficient in Packing, Pouching/Filling on all production lines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to carry out position responsibilities.
- Ability to follow policies/procedures.
- Ability to prioritize workload/tasks.
- Ability to manage information flow (paperwork, etc.).
- Punctuality/Attendance.

Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 3 years’ experience working in food manufacturing.
Physical Demands
- Sit and talk or hear.
- Use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Stand and walk.
- Lift and/or move up to 55.115 pounds.
Work Environment/Hazards
- The noise level in the work environment is above OSHA thresholds which require PPE.
- The work environment frequently involves direct contact with food and hazardous substances/processes.
- Strict adherence to company defined Hazard Control policies and procedures is a condition of employment.
