Production Associate

About the role

Georgia-Pacific seeks a Production Associate at our Owosso, MI facility. The position offers a starting salary of $22.52 per hour, with additional differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts. The first 2 weeks of orientation are on 1st shift, followed by permanent assignment to either 2nd or 3rd shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets.
• Monitor and/or enter data into computer control systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production.
• Perform basic asset care duties, including routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of work area.
• Work as a team to meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals.
• Operate and/or work around mobile equipment.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment.
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and pulling for up to 12 hours a day in a loud/noisy, industrial, high-volume environment.

Requirements

Candidates must be flexible and available to work first, second, or third shift as needed. Currently hiring for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous work experience.
• Experience working in a corrugated box plant.
• Experience using a computer, tablet, or smart device.

Shifts available: 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM), 2nd Shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM), 3rd Shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
