Production Associate

General Purpose Of The Position

Operates assigned enameling lines/ovens in a safe and efficient manner; to achieve and maintain high quality magnet wire manufacturing operations consistent with the control plan as well as with the plant and division goals.

Affixes to training new associates.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Operates assigned enamel lines in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maintains a safe workplace by anticipating, recognizing, and reporting any potential workplace hazards, attending required safety training, and adhering to all safety rules and regulations.
• Complies with environmental rules and standards and attends required training.
• Maintains the quality of the finished product.
• Identifies problems in the enameling process and completes corrective action.
• Reads, understands, and follows all instructions including but not limited to manufacturing instructions, work instructions, and set up sheets.
• Makes appropriate and timely adjustments to machine processes.
• Performs all team operations including but not limited to start-ups, changeovers, and welds.
• Monitors all aspects of the payoff area to ensure a continuous supply of high-quality bare wire to the enameling lines.
• Monitors all aspects of the take-up area to ensure all requirements are met and reels are promptly and properly stripped and packed, including adherence to proper package code, size, and weight including minimums and maximums.
• Complies with all environmental policies, regulations, and requirements.
• Completes forms, checklists, audits, and other paperwork as required.
