Production Associate
Purpose of the Position
The production associate is accountable for supporting manufacturing processes. Our plant offers a variety of jobs, including raw materials operators, finishing operators, warehouse operators, etc. This role operates on a rotating shift schedule in a continuous operation environment. You may be required to work overtime, holidays and weekends based on the schedule. Flexibility is needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate various machinery and equipment involved in the manufacturing process, which may require climbing ladders, performing work on elevated surfaces, and handling specialized tools.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to create a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to optimize production processes.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase product quality.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- You will need to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, bend, squat, wear a respirator/mask, and dress in proper personal protective equipment throughout the shift.
- Reliable transportation is required; availability of STARS transit service routes may be an option depending on location.
Work Environment
The work environment for a general production employee in manufacturing may involve exposure to various elements such as noise, dust, and chemicals. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided, and adherence to safety protocols is of the upmost importance.
Pay
The range for this position is $20.00 hourly rate - $23.13 hourly rate. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
