About the Role
Start in the manufacturing industry by joining Warner Electric! We are looking for new team members on all shifts. We offer one-on-one training in a team assembly environment. This position will be joining the Warner Electric team in Columbia City, IN. Warner Electric is part of Altra (AIMC).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Willingness to work in production areas on various operations within assembly; such as cell manufacturing, basic CNC operation, washing, painting, robotics, and other duties as assigned
- Selects, aligns, and secures tooling, accessories, and materials on machines, such as hydraulic presses, burnish/test machines, assembly fixtures, air or electric power tools and magnetizers
- Performs standard work and uses process control methods, inputs appropriate settings, adjusts and calibrates equipment as needed to complete the manufacturing process
- Perform quality checks on products and parts. Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly, using measuring instruments, such as micrometers and height gauges
- Willingness to learn standard processes within manufacturing, changeovers and inspection and maintains applicable records
- Communicates with other associates and departments as needed to deliver product to meet customer expectations
- Performs routine preventative maintenance on tools and equipment

Experience Requirements
- Preferred experience with manufacturing assembly or similar processes
- Preferred experience with measuring instruments such as micrometers and height gauges
- Willingness to follow work instructions
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 25 pounds frequently to constantly
- Must be able to constantly stand or sit for long periods of time as necessary in the work area
