About the Role
Our Production Associate oversees and performs a wide variety of tasks to produce high-quality products that conform with customer specifications. The role focuses on ensuring the correct quality of materials and end products while safely and cost-effectively achieving performance targets. Responsibilities
- Complete various production tasks as assigned by the Production Operator.
- Clear pan jams from the line, remove and add baking pans as needed.
- Troubleshoot basic causes of line stops and restart production.
- Assist the Production Operator in line startups and changeovers.
- Oversee product quality and ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Maintain high rates of production as set by the Operator and Production Supervisor.
- Separate rework from raw dough waste to minimize waste.
- Monitor and deliver side trimmings to the mixer; notify the operator when side trimmings exceed acceptable rates.
- Remove all out-of-spec product from the line and notify the Production Supervisor of non-conforming product or processes.
- Contribute to a safe and efficient work environment.
- Attend monthly required safety meetings when applicable.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance, safely perform tasks, and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other related responsibilities as directed by the Production Supervisor and Manager to support Crown Bakeries' business objectives.
- Plan, problem-solve, foster healthy peer relations, and motivate others.
Requirements
- Follow all GMP's, Food Defense, and quality policies.
- Ensure compliance with all GMP, food hygiene, and safety standards.
- Report all food safety incidents, including GMP violations, ingredient and product contamination, metal detector or screen deviations, glass breakage, and pest harborage.
- Willingness to acquire a wide variety of skills to assist the team and fully understand processes.
- Ability to problem-solve, learn quickly, and make quality decisions.
- Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, reach above shoulder height, bend, twist, stand, climb stairs/ladders, push/pull, and walk for the length of the shift.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in a noisy environment for the duration of the shift.
