About the role

Base pay starts at $19.00 - $20.00 per hour plus a $1.50 shift differential. This is a full-time, 2nd shift position (Monday-Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm) with overtime as designated.

Responsibilities

  • Transport finished products from production lines to shipping racks, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Move returned items from trucks to appropriate production lines.
  • Scan each window/door, note and report gaps in production, and perform light packaging duties.
  • Operate various hand tools to manually assemble window units.
  • Lift windows onto build tables and roller racks.
  • Move carts in and out of production work areas.
  • Operate saws to cut wood for mulling units and fabrication dies (punch press).
  • Apply hardware to units using appropriate tooling.
  • Operate stretch wrapping equipment and load equipment for processing insulated glass units.
  • Assemble grids and offload insulated glass units to carts.
  • Load window units into trucks.
  • Utilize production reports to assist in production planning.
  • Perform quality audits and engage in problem-solving to address issues.
  • Observe safety, health, and environmental guidelines, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Participate in cross-rotation with other operators and support cross-training initiatives.
  • Complete all other tasks assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Ability to measure lengths accurately to 1/32”.
  • Proficiency in basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, including converting fractions to decimals.
  • Ability to read and interpret statistical data, productivity reports, and written instructions.
  • Capability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Experience using computerized equipment.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds continually, including above shoulder height and below the waist.
  • Capability to stand, walk, and work on concrete surfaces for extended periods.
  • Ability to move carts in and out of production areas.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • One to three years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Work Environment

  • Exposure to areas near moving mechanical parts, occasional hazardous chemicals, and extreme temperatures (cold or heat).
  • Moderate noise levels may require hearing protection.
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, gloves, welding jackets or bibs, safety glasses, welding hoods, and earplugs in designated manufacturing areas.

Safety Responsibilities

  • Read and understand the position’s Job Safety Analysis before initiating work.
  • Wear appropriate PPE and perform tasks in compliance with safety training, company policies, and OSHA regulations.

Pay

$19.00 - $20.00 per hour plus a $1.50 shift differential.

Schedule

2nd shift: Monday-Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm, with overtime as designated.
