Production Associate 2nd shift
Cornerstone Building Brands is a leading manufacturer of exterior building products for residential and low-rise non-residential buildings in North America. Headquartered in Cary, N.C., we serve residential and commercial customers across the new construction and Repair & Remodel (R&R) markets.
About the role
Base pay starts at $19.00 per hour plus $1.00 per hour shift differential. 2nd Shift: 3:15 pm - 1:45 am (Monday thru Thursday). Site Address: 101 W South St, Monticello, IA 52310.
Responsibilities
- Reads routing and performs work as assigned by department supervisor
- Track production on schedule boards
- Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- General Labor in different departments of the shop facility
- Moving of raw materials with overhead crane and forklift
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in high production manufacturing environment
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, and other technical data and select correct raw material or semi-finished parts
- Ability to communicate information effectively one-on-one and in small group situations and settings is required
- Perform general mathematic calculations including but not limited to addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, percentages, and division
- Use power hand tools
- Drive a forklift
- Read different measuring devices (i.e. tape measure, protractor, micrometer)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
- Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
