Production Assembler - 1st Shift

About the role

Avalign produces innovative, high-performance, and cost-effective medical devices. We are looking for an Assembler to join our Greenwood, IN facility on a 1st shift schedule. You will assemble and inspect products prior to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assembles assigned product parts on assembly line in accordance with established procedures, standards, and blueprint production
• Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners
• Disassembles, re-works, or salvages scrap parts
• Operates drill presses, hand drills, clicker press, or riveting machines to assist in assembly operation
• May operate forklift upon completing certification requirements
• Performs spot checks of products to ensure adherence to approved quality standards; removes small quantities of metal to produce a smooth finish
• Inspects product for quality defects including but not limited to: missing brackets, damaged brackets, incorrect artwork, screw gauges, etc.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 months related experience and/or training
• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Mathematical skills to manage units of measure, fractions, decimals, whole numbers
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operations sheets to determine set-up and operations to be performed
• Ability to set-up and operate a Rivet Machine; input and maintain data in Traverse Manufacturing System
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
