PRODUCT TRAINER 3

U.S. Citizenship is required for this position. This is a full-time, 1st shift role located at Newport News Shipbuilding. Relocation assistance is not available, and the position is not eligible for telework.

About the Role

Plans, develops, and coordinates in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers. Obtains information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. May utilize trainers with technical expertise. Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.

• Deckplate tutoring
• Deckplate instruction (focused modules to meet team needs)
• Audits & Surveillances (in support of CPMP efforts)
• Identify gaps and trends to allow for timely responses
• Provide support to multiple shifts as needed
• Qualified to conduct tests as needed

Requirements

Must have one of the following:

• Bachelor's degree and 6 years of exempt experience
• Master's degree and 4 years of exempt experience
• NNS Apprentice School graduate
• High school diploma and 5 years combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military experience, or other relevant non-exempt experience
• Graduation from Navy Nuclear Power School

The following may be used as equivalent to the number of exempt years of experience required, in addition to the education requirement above:

• 6 years of relevant manufacturing, shipbuilding, trade, and/or military experience

Nice to Have

• Ability to obtain and maintain a minimum of a Confidential DoD Security clearance

Pay

The anticipated salary range for this role is $81,000.00 to $102,000.00. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
