Overview
The Product Support Sales Representative (PSSR) will be responsible for improving the business success of our customers through face-to-face contact and knowledge of their operation and needs. The primary objective of the PSSR is to build relationships and establish a true partnership that will make our customers more successful by anticipating and/or recognizing their needs and supplying parts, small equipment and setting up service for their equipment.
Territory
The territory for this position is Northwestern North Dakota.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for the coverage, retention, development, and customer satisfaction within your assigned territory
- Responsible for selling parts, service, and small whole goods within your assigned territory
- Utilize CRM program to prepare equipment quotes and organize time
- Work with the PSSR Manager to develop territory and promote General Equipment and Supplies Inc
- Work with parts department, service department and territory salesman to keep customers up and running efficiently
- Identify new customers within assigned territory to promote GES growth
- Attend educational and training programs covering company policies, department objectives, products services and programs, professional salesmanship and personal growth
- Keep accurate expense records and track them online weekly
- Balance the business needs and goals of the company while looking out for the best interests of our customers
Job Requirements

- A background in construction, aggregate and/or heavy construction equipment is recommended but not required
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales, service, or parts in heavy construction or product support
- Requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain an insurable driving record
- A high computer comfort level and with knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook. Will be trained on business software and CRM software
- Must have a positive mental attitude
- Must have excellent customer service skills, both internal and external customers
- Be personable, highly motivated, reliable, ethical, and able to adapt to all forces around them, customers, suppliers, coworkers, and manufacturers
- Attain short- and long-term objectives through good time management and planning
- Strong interpersonal skills and oral/written communication skills
- Organizational skills with ability to effectively manage multiple projects
- Willing to attend training to develop an expertise in all areas of GES products offered

Requires sitting, standing with periodic lifting, walking, standing, bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires ability to push, lift, pull, and/or carry 10 lbs. or more. The PSSR must live within the boundaries of the branch territory and daily travel is a requirement.
