About the Role

Teradyne’s Product Support Engineering team is seeking a highly-motivated, energetic, technically driven Senior Engineer to provide world-class support for current and future generations of Teradyne Semiconductor Test Products. This role leverages in-depth knowledge of Teradyne’s product offerings and a commitment to delivering timely solutions across an evolving customer landscape. The Product Support Engineer is a dynamic, global support opportunity spanning multiple engineering disciplines and reports directly to the Semiconductor Test Product Support Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Represent PSG as a core team member on both existing and new products.
  • Work with the field team and engineering (software and hardware) as a lead on field issues and escalations in both the field and factory.
  • Assist with identifying root cause to increase system uptime.
  • Participate in new product integration by:
    • Joining new product team meetings.
    • Working with design engineering to design in serviceability (DFS).
    • Leading installation and serviceability discussions as part of design reviews.
    • Supporting system install requirements and collaborating with the install coordinator on required tools and resources.
  • Develop a Field Replaceable Unit (FRU) strategy.
  • Organize, schedule, and project manage field upgrades.
  • Manage training for Teradyne field service engineers.
  • Develop support documentation.
  • Monitor system and new product reliability.
  • Generate reliability reports based on field issues.

Travel expectations are less than 20% of work requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).
  • 10+ years of experience.
  • Ability to lead high-priority new products from a product support standpoint and mentor other engineers.
  • Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills for complex issues.
  • Detailed understanding of mechanical design drawings and/or electrical schematics.
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and hands-on approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience creating detailed documentation.
  • Product support and/or automation experience desired.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Pay

The base salary range for this role is $121,100 to $193,800, corresponding with experience and skill set. The range may fluctuate based on demand and location. This position is also eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
