About the role
The Teradyne Product Support Engineering team is seeking a highly-motivated, energetic, and technically driven Engineer to provide world-class support to the company’s semiconductor test products.
Responsibilities
- Represent PSG as a core team member on both existing and new products
- Work with the field team and engineering (SW and HW) on field issues and escalations in both the field and factory
- Aid in identifying root cause to increase system uptime
- Work as part of the new product integration team by:
- Participating in new product team meetings
- Working with design engineering to design in serviceability (DFS)
- Leading installation and serviceability discussions as part of design reviews
- Supporting system install requirements and working with the install coordinator on required tools, resources, etc.
- Developing a Field Replaceable Unit (FRU) strategy
- Organizing, scheduling, and managing field upgrades
- Managing training for Teradyne field service engineers
- Developing support documentation
- Monitoring system and new product reliability
- Generating reliability reports based on field issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) with a preference for Electromechanical
- 8-15 years of experience
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, and hands-on
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work with limited supervision and with cross-functional teams
- Critical thinking and troubleshooting complex issues
- Detailed understanding of mechanical design drawings and/or electrical schematics
- Ability to create detailed documentation
- Experience in Product Support and/or automation desired
Qualifications
- Must be able to travel less than 20% of the time

Pay
The base salary range for this role is $97,400 to $155,800. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
Schedule
Travel expectations are less than 20% of work requirements.
