Primary Responsibilities
- Cook up projects and visits with customers and local resources.
- Set up and test technology solutions at customer facilities and demo locations.
- Attend regular meetings and calls to keep remote teams updated.
- Engage with customer stakeholders and employees to build a strong presence as the primary technical resource.
- Offer troubleshooting help to local service teams and collaborate with Engineering as needed.
- Keep up with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to the company's operations.
- Help global support teams with remote troubleshooting.
- Run meetings and calls with customers and internal resources.
- Prepare office work required for site visits, including site-specific programming, firmware testing, server and equipment software configurations or updates, and reviewing customer materials like CAD drawings.
- Analyze and interpret data to support inquiries and decisions made by customers and other departments.
- Record customer experiences, test results, status updates, ongoing issues, learnings, and project milestones and share in regular meetings with Project Management.
- Contribute to a Support Wiki to keep the team updated with the latest information.
- Present high-level updates to Management regarding the status of solution development projects and/or customer-level projects.
- Implement and create customer-facing strategies, processes, and documents for Sales, Engineering, Marketing, and Service departments.
- Onboard customer end-users and stakeholders to gain their buy-in and comfort with new technology.
- Collaborate with other departments to create materials and collateral for internal Sales and Service departments, the Service Training department, Marketing, and customer-facing reference materials.
- Drive the adoption of innovative industry 4.0 technologies and practices through effective change management and training programs.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5-7 years related experience
- A degree in Electronics, Information Technology, Industrial Engineer, or Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Valid driver's license
- Extensive travel and overnight stays (over 20%) required
Preferred Qualifications
- A four-year degree in Electronics, Information Technology, Industrial Engineer, or Engineering
- Advanced computer skills, interpersonal skills, and technical field experience in the lift truck industry
- Self-motivated to make big-picture decisions without direct supervision and comfortable speaking in front of larger groups
- Excellent communication, relationship building, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
