Pay rate: $38.45 - $38.45/hr. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law.
About the role
The main function of a product specialist is to be the subject matter expert on a product through its development. The typical product specialist will provide technical advice to customers concerning their product.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate new model concept, functions and design for quality improvement prior to mass production.
- Collaborate with HQ and factories to ensure the new products are ready for launch, confirm meeting all necessary requirements, including product evaluation, user trial, and training.
- Data-based quality sensing with primary focus on Annual Service Rate analysis for Home Appliance product improvement.
- Analyze, evaluate and test various Home Appliance Product Categories top symptoms and issues that drive high Redo, identify root cause and corrective actions with internal teams, HQ and Factories.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of product development or management process and experience with home appliance related field (3-5 years, ideally 2-4 years).
- Understanding of manufacturing, engineering and product design.
- Experience with quality analysis, product testing and validation.
- Proficient with Excel, PPT, and computer savvy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Top 3 must-haves
- 2-4 years of home appliance (HA) experience with in-home service experience and home appliance product management, development, or related field.
- Develop and maintain product readiness plans, including timelines, milestones, and key deliverables.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
