Product Review Engineer 5
About the role
The role involves creating design solutions for nonconforming parts and systems, which includes correcting build or design errors found during production. These solutions will consider metal and composite structures, interiors, electrical systems, functional testing, and safety, among other factors.
Responsibilities
- Apply knowledge of design principles to assess and resolve product and process issues through the product lifecycle.
- Analyze, conduct root cause analysis, and develop dispositions for design non-conformances.
- Evaluate airplane production discrepancies of all types, including electrical, functional test, and material issues.
- Resolve and rework parts, components, and assemblies that are incorrectly designed, built, or installed.
- Represent engineering on the Material Review Board (MRB), responding to inquiries from manufacturing and engineering.
- Work across functions to ensure corrective action is implemented.
- Review and approve design revisions to improve production processes in coordination with engineering.
- Demonstrate innovative approaches in process improvement activities.
- Review and audit MRB activities for domestic and foreign suppliers.
Requirements
- Education: An ABET accredited engineering degree is required, specifically in the field of Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering.
- This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. A "US Person" includes a US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Qualifications
- Current or previous Materials Review Board (MRB) experience is preferred.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools.
