Product Marketing Manager, Customer & Lifecycle
About the role
PreVeil is a fast‑growing tech company that provides an encrypted email and file sharing platform, recognized as PC Magazine's Best Encrypted Email and File Sharing Solution for five consecutive years. Trusted by over 3,000 defense contractors, PreVeil is profitable and growing 100% year‑over‑year. The company is hiring a Product Marketing Manager focused on Customer & Lifecycle Marketing to own how PreVeil communicates with customers and turn customer stories into proof that wins new deals. This is a deeply technical role: the incumbent will read product documentation, participate in conversations about encryption or CMMC scoping, and write accurately for IT leaders, compliance officers, and founders at defense contractors. The role is inherently cross‑functional, working closely with Customer Success and Support, and is a hands‑on individual contributor position reporting to the VP of Marketing, supported by a team of top‑tier marketers.
Responsibilities
- Product Knowledge and Technical Content: Partner with Support to audit, rewrite, and rebuild the customer knowledgebase for accessibility to customers and internal AI bots, providing a fast path to deep product mastery.
- Customer Lifecycle Communications: Own strategy, calendar, and results for automated welcome/onboarding emails, the customer newsletter, and customer webinars.
- Customer Evidence and Advocacy: Produce case studies, customer one‑pagers, the AE‑Customer reference program, G2 & Capterra reviews, and light customer marketing including gifting.
- Feed the Customer Voice Back Into Marketing: Align website and product narrative with real customer evidence, leveraging the customer relationship as a key research asset.
- Build the AI Workflows Behind the Program: Draft and maintain knowledgebase articles, mine SDR, AE, and CSM calls for new use cases and customer language, monitor competitors continuously, and expand the AI workflow foundation (starting from the existing AI Context Lake) to cover the work of more than one person.
Requirements
- Boston‑based or able to collaborate in person at least one day per week.
- 3‑5 years of experience in product marketing, customer marketing, or a related technical role at a B2B SaaS company.
- Proven experience running customer programs such as references, reviews, advocacy, or lifecycle email.
- Strong technical background: able to discuss encryption and compliance scoping confidently and write about it accurately without engineer rewrites.
- Comfort using AI as a production tool, not just occasional prompting.
Skills
- Intellectually curious – eager to understand how the product works and why customers choose PreVeil.
- Effective communicator – writes clearly, edits ruthlessly, and can hold technical conversations with customers without over‑simplifying.
- Detail‑oriented – customers are audited on the information PreVeil provides.
- Good human – builds trust quickly across Customer Success, Support, Marketing, Sales, and with customers.
- Gritty and self‑sufficient – takes ownership of programs, sets pace, and works independently while having support available.
Pay
The Pay Range For This Role Is 160,000 - 180,000 USD per year (Boston Ma).
