About the role
The Product Marketing Manager is a key commercial leader responsible for launching and driving adoption of the Vertex Catheter in pulmonary embolism. This role sits at the intersection of clinical evidence, commercial strategy, and field execution, translating differentiated clinical data into compelling market-facing programs, launch tools, and physician education.
Responsibilities
- Lead downstream marketing efforts for the Vertex Catheter, including launch planning, market activation, and post-launch commercialization support.
- Develop physician education, sales enablement, and promotional materials that translate clinical evidence into clear commercial messaging.
- Partner with Medical Affairs and Clinical teams to support evidence strategy, KOL engagement, and dissemination of clinical data.
- Build and maintain competitive intelligence, including battle cards, objection handling tools, and win/loss insights.
- Help define and track early commercial success metrics, including case volume, account penetration, reorder rates, and revenue ramp.
- Support launch sequencing by identifying and prioritizing accounts.
- Collaborate with Leadership to ensure field alignment on launch priorities, competitive positioning, and customer engagement strategies.
- Create and maintain educational content, sales aids, clinical leave-behinds, digital assets, and training materials.
- Serve as a primary marketing partner to the field, supporting sales meetings, regional training, and new hire onboarding.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and adoption barriers, and adjust strategy as needed to support commercial success.
- Create commercial demand forecasts and participate in organizational and operational planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- 7+ years of medical device marketing experience, including downstream or commercial marketing.
- Experience supporting or leading a medical device product launch in a competitive market.
- Strong understanding of the interventional cardiovascular, vascular, or pulmonary space; PE, pulmonary vascular, or catheter-directed therapy experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to build competitive differentiation strategies and support sales teams in head-to-head environments.
- Comfort working with clinical evidence and scientific content, and translating it into compelling commercial narratives.
- Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills with confidence presenting to clinical and executive audiences.
- Strong cross-functional leadership and project management skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree in a related field.
- Experience in the PE, pulmonary vascular, or right-heart hemodynamic space.
- Track record of launching products in competitive, multi-player markets.
- Experience in a commercial-stage or growth-stage medical device company.
- Familiarity with KOL development, thought leadership strategy, and clinical education program design.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, and project management tools.

Pay
The starting base pay for this role is between $170,000 – $195,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for equity, benefits, and 401(k) with matching.
