Boeing is focused on providing and exploring opportunities to enhance the Product Management workforce within Government Training Engineering, with work locations in Hazelwood, MO or Berkeley, MO. This includes, but is not limited to, Government Training products within our Air Dominance (AD), Mobility, Surveillance and Bombers (MS&B) and Vertical Lift portfolios. Example products within the portfolios include: Fighters (F-15 & F/A-18), T-7A Trainers, MQ-25, F-47, P-8, Apache and others.
About the role
Our teams are currently hiring a broad range of experienced Product Managers including Mid-Level and Leads. This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active. Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.
Responsibilities
- Primary point of contact for all engineering aspects of the product
- Understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area
- Knowledge of various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, and systems; ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverables
- Collaborate with the technical leadership team consisting of Chief engineers, system architects and other product managers
- Manage product release schedules and release activities
- Play an integral role in the development of the Statement of Work (SOW) and estimates to meet the requirements of our customers
- Coordinate with program management and engineering teams to develop and maintain execution plans
- Track execution progress and provide guidance for adjustments where necessary
- Work with the supplier management team to monitor and track supplier performance
- Identify risks, issues, and opportunities, and develop mitigation or execution plans
- Ensure the product is complete prior to delivering to the customer
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- Engineering experience to include one (or more) of the following: systems engineering, software engineering, hardware engineering, project engineering
- Experience with one (or more) of the following: Engineering Project Management, Project Planning, Leading Agile Teams, Product Development, Earned Value Management
- Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
Qualifications
- 5 or more years of higher education and/or related work experience (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.)
- Leadership experience to include but not limited to engineering leadership roles and/or leading work and driving teams to success
- Experienced, Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
- Lead, Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
Pay
- Mid-Level (Level 3): $112,200 - $151,800
- Lead (Level 4): $136,850 - $185,150
Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Potential signing bonus for eligible/qualified external candidates.
