Product Manager

About the role

The Product Manager will be responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and collaborating with engineering, sales, channel marketing, and production. This role drives strategy and implementation to create product plans that enable profitable growth of sales and market share for each product category, managing the product from ideation through obsolescence.

Responsibilities

• Lead product management for projects from concept ideation to completion.
• Develop new product development strategies for assigned product categories in collaboration with sales, customers, and internal teams; align with director/sales leads prior to launch.
• Brainstorm and develop new product development roadmaps by product category.
• Create project briefs and scope documents to define new product development projects.
• Lead cross-functional project teams in development, engineering, costing, pricing, manufacturing, planning, and marketing for new product introductions and existing product updates.
• Support teams throughout the new product development setup process.
• Monitor market conditions to determine product pricing and positioning by channel.
• Determine and recommend pricing strategies for retail accounts and all channels; review with business unit manager.
• Manage product lifecycle, including phase-in/phase-out decisions by category; coordinate with sales and production planning for execution.
• Work with Supply Chain on excess and obsolete products.
• Manage the product database.
• Serve as product expert regarding competition.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and product development to set initial product specifications.
• Support quality control and warranty departments in problem-solving for major quality issues with new and existing products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in sales (inside or outside), operations, product development, or a related role.
• Proficiency in basic business software (Microsoft Office).
• Strong technical and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proven ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Innate desire to learn all aspects of the product development process.
• Up to 35% overnight domestic travel.

Location

This is an onsite role based at one of our plants in Galloway, NJ; Brooksville, FL; Salisbury, NC; or Bulls Gap, TN, when not traveling.

Pay

Base salary: $100,000 – $120,000.
